Producer and import price index, March 2019

Depreciation of the Swedish krona raised import and export prices

Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2019-04-26 9.30

Import and export prices increased between February and March, mainly because of a weaker Swedish krona. On the import market, crude oil prices also continued to contribute to the upturn. Furthermore, higher prices on motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers have contributed to the rise of the export price index on a monthly basis. The upturn was offset by lower prices on electricity on all markets.
