Service prices unchanged in fourth quarter 2019

The Service Producer Price Index remained unchanged from the third to the fourth quarter of 2019. Since the fourth quarter of 2018, the Service Producer Price Index has increased by 2.3 percent. The corresponding annual rate in the previous quarter was 2.5 percent.
Changes during the last quarter
The main downward contribution was lower prices on travel agency and tour operator services, down by 0.3 percentage points. Rental and operating services of own or leased real estate and management consulting services each provided an upward contribution of 0.1 percentage point.
Changes during the last year
The annual rate on travel agency and tour operator services was 7.2 percent, on rental and operating services of own or leased real estate it was 3.5 percent, and on accommodation services, the annual rate was 3.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2019.
