Earnings for state-owned enterprises decreased the most

In 2022, earnings for state-owned enterprises deteriorated by SEK 16.5 billion compared with 2021. The deterioration is explained by higher operating expenses.

The total balance sheet increased by SEK 5.6 billion compared to the year 2021 and was SEK 2.664 billion. On the liability side, long-term liabilities increased the most. On the asset side, the increase was greatest in long-term receivables.

The return on equity decreased and was 6.0 percent in the year 2022. The equity ratio also decreased and was 18.7 percent in 2022.

Earnings for municipal-owned enterprises decreased

In 2022, earnings for the municipal-owned enterprises decreased by SEK 1.1 billion compared to year 2021.

The balance sheet total for the municipal-owned enterprises was SEK 1.886 billion in 2022, which was an increase of SEK 135 billion compared to 2021. On the liability side, long-term liabilities increased the most. On the asset side, receivables increased the most.

The return on equity decreased in 2022 by 1.9 percentage points and was 5.6 percent. The equity ratio increased by 1.0 percentage points and was 23.8 percent in 2022.

Earnings for region-owned enterprises increased

The reported result for the region-owned enterprises increased by but remains negative. It amounts to SEK -0.6 billion.

The balance sheet total increased and amounted to SEK 129.3 billion in year 2022. On the asset side, fixed assets increased the most. On the liability side, long-term liabilities increased the most.

The return on equity improved in 2022 and was -3.5 percent. The equity ratio decreased and was 11.9 percent in 2022.
