The result for the region-owned enterprises improved in 2024 compared to 2023. It is the transportation industry that mainly shows an improved result, due to travel gradually returning to pre-pandemic levels.
Negative development of earnings for state-owned enterprises
In 2024, earnings for state-owned enterprises decreased by SEK 8.8 billion compared with 2023.
The total balance sheet increased by SEK 158 billion compared to the year 2023 and was SEK 2.814 billion. On the liability side, liabilities increased the most. On the asset side, short-term receivables decreased the most.
The return on equity decreased and was 13.2 percent in the year 2024. The equity ratio increased and was 23.3 percent in 2024.
Earnings for municipal-owned enterprises decreased
In 2024, earnings for the municipal-owned enterprises decreased by SEK 3.5 billion compared to year 2023.
