Net trade balance at SEK 12.7 billion in November

In November 2023, Swedish exports of goods amounted to SEK 192.4 billion, while imports of goods amounted to SEK 179.7 billion. As a result, the net trade balance was SEK 12.7 billion.
Foreign trade in goods resulted in a net trade surplus of SEK 12.7 billion in November 2023, according to preliminary calculations. In November 2022, there was a net trade deficit of SEK 5.3 billion.
The value of exports in November 2023 was SEK 192.4 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 179.7 billion. The corresponding values for November 2022 were SEK 183.1 billion for exports and SEK 188.4 billion for imports. Exports of goods have thus increased by 5 percent in value, while imports have decreased by 5 percent in value compared with November 2022. The number of weekdays in November 2023 was the same as it was in November 2022.
Trade in goods with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK 32.3 billion, while EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 19.6 billion.

Seasonally adjusted, net trade showed a surplus of SEK 10.4 billion in November, compared with a surplus of SEK 9.2 billion in October. The corresponding figure for September was a surplus of SEK 7.3 billion.
Net trade (January – November 2023) showed a surplus of SEK 47.3 billion
During the last eleven months, the value of exports of goods increased by 6 percent and the value of imports of goods increased by 1 percent compared with the corresponding period a year ago. Exports were valued at SEK 1939.6 billion and imports were valued at SEK 1892.3 billion, resulting in a net trade surplus of SEK 47.3 billion for January - November 2023. The corresponding net trade balance for these months one year earlier was a deficit of SEK 42.6 billion.
