Restaurant sales increased in August

The restaurant sales volume increased by 2.8 percent in August compared with the same period last year. The strongest increase in sales volume was in entertainment restaurants, which increased by 6.4 percent.
The volume of sales in entertainment restaurants rose by 6.4 percent in August. Lunch and dinner restaurants was another type of restaurant with positive development in volume of sales, at 4.0 percent. Among restaurants, restaurant near traffic had the weakest development in volume of sales, -5.7 percent, in August.
The turnover for restaurants increased by 6.3 percent in August compared with the same month last year.
