Restaurant sales increased in December
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2018-02-06 9.30
The restaurant sales volume increased by 3.0 percent in December compared with the same period last year. The largest increase in sales volume, 12.9 percent, was in cafés.
Lunch and dinner restaurants had the second largest increase, up 3.9 percent from December 2016. Personnel restaurants had the weakest development in sales volume, -8.6 percent.
In current prices, the turnover for restaurants increased by 6.5 percent in December compared with the same month last year.
In 2017 as a whole, the total restaurant sales volume increased by 1.6 percent compared with 2016.
