Restaurant sales increased in March

The restaurant sales volume in March increased by 7.5 percent compared with the same period last year. The sales volume for hotel restaurants increased sharply and amounted to 16.7 percent.
The volume of sales in hotel restaurants rose by 16.7 percent in March, and other types of restaurants with strong positive development in the volume of sales were cafes (14.7 percent) and entertainment restaurants (10.1 percent). Among restaurants, roadside restaurants have had the weakest development in volume of sales, 0.7 percent, in March.
The turnover for restaurants increased by 10.7 percent in March compared with the same month last year.
