The Swedish economy – a statistical perspective

This publication gives a picture of the state of the Swedish economy. Also included here are in-depth articles related to economic statistics. The publication is intended for those who are interested in following economic developments. It is only available in Swedish.

From September 2025 and onwards, the publication (only available in Swedish) will be released quarterly instead of monthly.

The Business Cycle clock (which is available in English) will still be published monthly, except for July.

Stronger domestic economy

2025-09-16

The activity in the Swedish economy rose during the second quarter this year. The service sector was still leading. Household consumption and investments grew while negative net exports kept the GDP growth down. Further information can be found in Statistics Sweden’s periodical, “Sveriges ekonomi – statistiskt perspektiv” (in Swedish).
