Statistics Sweden’s work on the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Statistics Sweden was from 2017 to 2022 tasked by the Government to coordinate the indicator-based follow-up on how Sweden lives up to the goals and targets in the 2030 Agenda. This page contains material from that work and other material relating to 2030 Agenda.
On 25 September 2015, the world’s governments adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In doing so, they committed to leading the world towards a sustainable and fair future by 2030. The countries also committed to engage in systematic follow-up and review of the implementation of the Agenda at national, regional and global levels.
The 2030 Agenda contains 17 global goals and 169 targets. At the global level, the goals are followed up with the help of around 230 indicators.
Statistics Sweden is the national focal for the global indicators. That means that Statistics Sweden takes part in the international cooperation and contribute, together with a number of other government agencies, statistics to the global follow-up of the 2030 Agenda. On the following links, you can find statistics relating to the implementation of the Agenda in Sweden:
