Energy use in industry illustrates the use of energy and electricity in industry in quantities and values for each type of industry as well as each type of fuel. The users of the statistics are the Swedish Energy Agency, Statistics Sweden’s National Accounts and Environmental Statistics, the Ministry of Finance, the EU, OECD and others.

Instructions

Suitable respondents at your workplace would be persons responsible for the environment or energy. The report should include the workplace's purchased quantities and purchase value for the fuel that has been used during the given reporting year. 

The information to report can be heating of premises, fuel that is used in production processes, fuel for transport with your own/leased vehicles and use of electricity. Fuel that is included as intermediate goods/raw materials should not be reported.

Time plan

The survey takes place annually. Letters with information about user ID and password are sent out at the end of February every year. The requested information is needed before 28 March.

Your response

The obligation to provide information is mandatory under Swedish law (Official Statistics Act (SFS 2001:99), the Official Statistics Ordinance (SFS 2001:100) and Swedish Energy Agency Regulations (STEMFS 2016:5). The information you submit is protected according to Chapter 24, Section 8 of the Swedish Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (SFS 2009:400). Consultation has taken place with the Board of Swedish Industry and Commerce for Better Regulation (NNR). When the information is published, no single enterprise will be able to be identified.
