  • Wage inequality among high earners

    Statistics on gender equality show clear differences between women and men in terms of wages and positions in the labour market. Women generally have lower wages than men and are underrepresented in many management positions in the private sector. However, in the public sector, the management positions are dominated by women. In general, men have higher wages than women and the difference become even clearer when the distribution of wages is examined.

  • From classroom to career – women and men stuck in old patterns

    Young women and men tend to make different educational choices as early as in upper-secondary school. These differences are also visible in working life, where many occupations have a strong female or male predominance. Only a small percentage of women and men find themselves in sectors with an equal sex distribution.
