Definitions and explanations

To be elected to Sweden's Riksdag with the help of personal votes, at least eight percent of a party's total number of votes is required in a Riksdag constituency. A candidate can only be elected to one Riksdag constituency, but there are no limits for the number of party lists a candidate can be a part of.
