Changes during the last month

Higher prices on basic metals contributed to increases on all three markets - the domestic market, the export market and the import market. Higher prices on food products and beverages also contributed to the increase on the domestic market. In addition to the increase on the export market due to higher prices on basic metals, there was an increase in prices on motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and on pulp, paper and paperboard. This increase was offset by a decrease in prices on machinery and equipment. Higher prices for crude oil accounted for the largest contribution to the upturn on the import market in January. The increase on the import market was offset by a decrease in prices on food products and computer, electronic and optical products.

Changes during the last year

In the last year producer prices, that is, producer prices on the domestic and export markets together, have increased by 2.5 percent.
