Services prices continue to rise
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2018-11-09 9.30
The Services Producer Price Index increased by 0.7 percent from the second quarter of 2018 to the third quarter of 2018. The corresponding figure in the second quarter was an increase by 0.4 percent. Since the third quarter of 2017, the Services Producer Price Index has increased by 1.5 percent. The corresponding annual rate in the previous quarter was 0.7 percent.
Changes in the last quarter
The main upward contributor in the quarter was higher prices for other support services for transport, which contributed upward by 0.2 percentage points. Furthermore, higher prices for freight transport services contributed upward by 0.1 percentage point. The quarterly rise was offset by a decline in prices for advertising services, which contributed downward by 0.1 percentage point.

Definitions and explanations
New product classification
The Services Producer Index is reported in accordance with both SPIN 2007 and SPIN 2015 in the statistical database. Both product classifications will be available during 2018. In 2019, price indices will only be available in accordance with SPIN 2015. Users are recommended to start using SPIN 2015. The differences between the two classifications are minor.
