Household consumption decreased in June year-over-year
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2019-08-09 9.30
Household consumption decreased by 0.3 percent in June 2019 compared with June 2018, measured in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures. In the last three-month period, consumption decreased by 0.5 percent in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures, compared with the same period last year. Household consumption increased by 0.2 percent in seasonally adjusted figures compared with May.
The largest weighted positive contributions came from the sector Furniture, furnishings, household equipment and consumables , which increased by 7.4 percent in fixed prices compared with June last year.
Transport and retail sales and service of motor vehicles had the largest weighted negative contribution to total consumption and decreased by 11.2 percent in fixed prices compared with June last year. Prices increased by 2.0 percent according to the consumption deflator.
