Restaurant sales decreased in the first quarter
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2020-06-10 9.30
The restaurant sales volume decreased by 9.3 percent in the first quarter compared with the same period a year ago. The largest decrease in sales volume, 22.7 percent, was among personnel restaurants.
Hotel restaurants recorded the second largest decrease, 18.0 percent from the first quarter 2019. Entertainment restaurants experienced the largest development in sales volume, 8.7 percent.
Turnover generated by restaurants decreased by 6.5 percent in the first quarter in current prices compared with the same quarter last year.
