Restaurant sales increased in January

The restaurant sales volume increased by 6.5 percent in January compared with the same period last year. The sales volume for hotel restaurants increased sharply and amounted to 16.8 percent.
Hotel restaurants had a rise in the volume of sales of 16.8 percent in January. Other types of restaurants with positive developments in volume of sales were fast food restaurants (12.4 percent) and cafes (9.7 percent). Canteens had the weakest development in volume of sales among restaurants, -2.9 percent, in January.
The turnover for restaurants increased by 9.2 percent in January compared with the same month last year.
