Official statistics of Sweden 2025, part 2. Evaluation of the Quality of Official Statistics
The report Sveriges officiella statistik is published annually and is divided into two parts. This section, Part 2, provides an analysis of the evaluation of the quality of official statistics based on the statistics Sweden’s regulations. Responsibility for producing official statistics is shared among 29 public authorities. SCB, in addition to being one of these authorities, also has a coordinating role.
The report includes, among other things:
- A nuanced and detailed overview of the quality of official statistics across different subject areas.
- An analysis of the statistics’ quality using the approach of fitness for purpose.
- Recommendations for improving the quality of official statistics and an account of the measures SCB plans to take to strengthen the statistical system.
