The Data Collection Application for Intrastat is Changing
The implementation will take place in stages, and Statistics Sweden will inform each reporting entity when it is their turn. Companies who have expressed an interest in participating as pilot companies will be the first to use the new application.
Once all reporting entities have been transferred, data collection via IDEP.WEB will be discontinued.
Securing data collection for the future
The statistics from the Intrastat survey are important. It is used in national accounts and for calculating the balance of payments, as well as by decision-makers in business, organisations, and public authorities.
This transition is an investment to secure Intrastat data collection for the future. It creates a more sustainable solution within Statistics Sweden’s application environment, where our other surveys are managed.

Questions and Answers (updated September 2026)
Why is IDEP.WEB being replaced?
Statistics Sweden is pursuing a long-term internal solution that will become part of the standard statistical collection process. As a result, the collaboration with the external supplier will end.
When can we start using the new application?
The implementation will take place gradually during 2026 and 2027. We will contact you by email/letter well in advance. The communication will include information about what reference period you will begin submitting data for in the new application. Reference periods that have already been submitted in IDEP.WEB should not be submitted again. Statistics Sweden will also provide you with new login credentials once it is time.
Will we use the same login credentials for arrivals and dispatches, and who will receive them?
Arrivals and dispatches will be reported using separate login credentials. The new login credentials will be sent to the contact person registered in IDEP.WEB for arrivals and dispatches respectively.
Do we need to make any changes to use the new application?
Statistics Sweden will still request the same data. You will still be able to submit your declarations manually or via file. To report via file, you can either use Statistics Sweden’s pre-defined templates, or create your own template.
We have our own templates for submitting files– do we need to create new ones in the new application?
Yes, your current templates will not be transferred to the new application. This means that when you submit your first declaration you will need to create a new template, which will then be saved for future use.
Will it be possible to add or correct information in the new application?
Once a reference period has been submitted, you will not, as before, be able to edit the report. If you wish to add data to your submission, or if the initial submission was incorrect, use the supplementary form which becomes available after the main form has been submitted. For the first supplementary submission you can choose between manual reporting and file upload. After that, any further supplementary submissions can only be made via file.
To correct individual items in a submitted declaration, you use our correction form and email it to Intrastat@scb.se as usual.
How will reporting via an agent work?
It will still be possible for an agent to submit reports on behalf of a reporting company, but it will function a bit differently from today.
For reporting entities that already have a registered agent, the agent will automatically be registered in the new application. Reporting entities that wish to register an agent after the transition will be able to do so using a registration form, which will be available once they have logged in.
The reporting company will not be able to view the detailed declarations submitted by their registered agent. Instead, a summary for each reference period will be available, which will show the total reported net mass and invoiced value.
Will an agent be able to submit reports for multiple reporting entities at once?
Yes, it will still be possible to submit reports for multiple entities at once. The difference is that arrivals and dispatches will need to be reported using separate logins, and only one reference period can be declared at a time. More detailed information will be provided later.
What happens to our previous reports in IDEP.WEB, can we save them?
Previously submitted data will not be transferred to the new application. If you want to save your data, you need to do this well before you start using the new application.
To save your declarations, log into IDEP.WEB and go to List of Declarations. Choose the declaration you want to export and press Export lines.
Will companies submitting data via certified software be affected?
No, you will still be able to submit data via certified software, just as before. Read more about how reporting works here:
