The Data Collection Application for Intrastat is Changing

In 2026, Statistics Sweden will begin to replace the application used for data collection to the surveys Special Movements of Goods and Intrastat (arrivals and dispatches of goods).

The new application is already used for other surveys by Statistics Sweden, and once all reporting entities have been transferred, data collection via Idep.Web will be discontinued.

The transition will take place in stages, and the first reporting entities will be transferred in 2026. Statistics Sweden will inform each company when it is their turn.

Future-secured data collection

The statistics from the Intrastat and Specific Movements of Goods surveys are important. They are needed and used in national accounts and for calculating the balance of payments, as well as by decision-makers in business, organisations, and public authorities.

This transition is an investment to secure the data collection to Intrastat for the future. It creates a more sustainable solution within Statistics Sweden’s application environment, where our other surveys are managed.

Questions and Answers

Why is Idep.Web being replaced?

Statistics Sweden is pursuing a long-term internal solution that will become part of the standard statistical collection process. As a result, the collaboration with the external supplier will end.

When can we start using the new application?

The transition will take place gradually, starting in 2026. We will contact you by Email/letter when it is time for your company to switch. However, we are already looking for companies that want to be among the first in start using the new data collection application.

Do we need to make any changes to use the new application?

Statistics Sweden will still request the same data. It will continue to be possible to submit data via file and create your own file formats. New login credentials will be sent to you during the transition.

How will we stay informed about updates?

Updates about the transition will be published on this page throughout the process. Check back regularly to stay up to date.

We are an agent submitting data for several companies – how will this affect us?

The agent submission function will work differently, but the main features will still be available. Well before the transition, you will receive further information how agent submissions will be handled in the new application.

What happens to our previous reports in Idep.Web, can we save them?

Previously submitted data will not be transferred to the new application. If you want to save your data, you need to do this well before you start using the new application.

To export your declarations, log into Idep.Web and go to List of Declarations. Choose the declaration you want to export and press Export lines.

We have our own import formats – do we need to create new ones in the new application?

Will companies submitting data via certified software be affected?
