In the 20 to 65 age range, 287 000 people were unemployed. This equals a share of 5.5 percent expressed as a percentage of the labour force and is an increase of 0.2 percentage point compared with the same period of the previous year.

    People in employment aged 15 to 74 numbered 5 319 000 in August in 2025. The number of employed was essentially unchanged, with only a marginal increase of 2 000 people compared with August 2024. In the 20 to 65 age range, 293 000 people were unemployed. This equals a share of 5.7 percent expressed as a percentage of the labour force and is an increase of 0.2 percentage point compared with the same period of the previous year.
