  • Use of AI growing in both the enterprise sector and among the population

    The use of AI in Swedish enterprises has continued to increase and was most widespread among large enterprises. At the same time, generative AI tools have become more common among the population, with private use being the most prevalent. It was also more common for enterprises with a balanced gender distribution to use AI. On an international comparison Swedish enterprises ranked highly, both AI usage and the in-house development of AI solutions.

  • Artificial intelligence in enterprises 2025

    Since 2021, Statistics Sweden has measured the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in enterprises four times via the survey ICT usage in enterprise. During this time, the development of AI has taken great strides and the technology is being identified as a possible new general purpose technology with the potential to lead to major productivity gains in large sections of society, not least in the business sector. The purpose of this report is to shed light on how Swedish enterprises' used AI in 2025 and how it has changed since the beginning of the decade.
