Statistics Sweden has been responsible for statistics on adult education associations since 2020. As from 2021, official statistics on adult education association activities, participants in study circles and other adult education activities are presented here.

Choral singing is the most common activity in the study associations

Just over 76,000 participated in choral singing under the auspices of the study associations in 2025. In total, around 608,000 participated in a couple of hundred different subjects around Sweden.
