Record large net outflow from North America funds
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2026-02-24 8.00
The total assets in Swedish funds reached a new record high by year end, to some extent explained by net inflow in 2025. For North America funds specifically, however, the net investments during the past full year was the most negative measured in statistics dating back to 1998.
─ The net flow was relatively considerably negative for North America funds, SEK -41 Billion, in a year when world trade and geopolitics were apparent in the news flow. For other funds the net investments on the contrary were SEK +233 Billion, the strongest positive year outcome in more than a decade, says Malcolm Svensson Rothmaier, economist at Statistics Sweden’s Financial Market Statistics section.
