Sweden’s GDP grew 0.8 percent in third quarter

Sweden’s GDP increased 0.8 percent in the third quarter of 2017, seasonally adjusted and compared to the second quarter of 2017. GDP increased 2.9 percent, working-day adjusted and compared to the third quarter of 2016.
Household consumption expenditures and government consumption expenditures increased by 0.4 percent seasonally adjusted and compared to the previous quarter. Changes in inventories decreased GDP-growth by 0.1 percentage points in the third quarter. Gross fixed capital formation increased by 3.9 percent. Exports increased by 0.7 percent and imports increased by 1.6 percent. Market production of goods and services increased 0.8 percent, seasonally adjusted. Production of goods rose by 0.7 percent and service-producing industries grew by 0.8 percent. Employment measured as total number of hours worked increased by 0.5 percent seasonally adjusted and total number of persons employed rose by 0.4 percent.
