The Services Producer Price Index rose by 0.3 percent in the second quarter compared to the first quarter 2025. Prices decreased by 3.3 percent on the export market as well as on the import market. On the domestic market, prices rose by 1.0 percent. The annual rate according to the Services Producer Price Index was 1.5 percent in the second quarter (2.2 percent in the first quarter).

Changes during the last quarter
The quarterly rate of change was negative on the export and import markets, but positive on the domestic market in the second quarter of 2025. This resulted in a positive quarterly rate of change for both Services Producer Price Index and Price Index for Domestic Supply during the same period.
The main upward contribution on the domestic market came from higher prices on warehousing and support services for transportation. Prices also rose in rental and leasing services and rental and operating services of own or leased real estate.
On the export market the main negative contribution came from lower prices on software publishing services. Prices also fell within computer programming, consultancy and related services, telecommunications services, sea and coastal freight water transport services and rental and leasing services. This downturn was somewhat offset by higher prices on air transport services.
The main contribution to the decrease on the import market came from lower prices on telecommunications services. Prices also fell within computer programming, consultancy and related services, sea and coastal freight water transport services and rental and leasing services. There were several different services which contributed with 0.2 and 0.1 percentage points each to the negative quarterly rate of change. This downturn was somewhat offset by higher prices on legal and accounting services.

Changes in the last year
The annual rate for the domestic market was 2.6 percent in the second quarter (2.5 percent in the first quarter). The annual rate for the export market was -4.3 percent during the same period (0.4 percent in the first quarter). On the import market, the annual rate in the second quarter was -2.5 percent (1.9 percent in the first quarter).
This resulted in an annual rate of change of 1.5 percent for the Services Producer Price Index in the second quarter of 2025 and an annual rate of change of 1.9 percent for the Price Index for Domestic Supply during the same period.
Several sections contributed to the positive annual rate of change for the total Services Producer Price Index. Professional, scientific and technical services as well as administrative and support services each contributed with 0.5 percentage points. Real estate services contributed upwards with 0.4 percentage points. Hotel and restaurant services contributed upwards to the annual rate by 0.2 percentage points and transport and storage services contributed upwards to the annual rate by 0.1 percentage points. .Information and communication services was the only section with a negative contribution to the annual rate, by 0.2 percentage points.

The Producer Price Index home sales (HMPI) measures changes in Swedish producers’ prices of products sold in Sweden.
The Export Price Index (EXPI) measures changes in Swedish producers’ prices of products sold outside of Sweden, both within and outside the EU.
The Import Price Index (IMPI) measures changes in the prices of imports of products into Sweden.
The Services Producer Price Index (SPPI) measures changes in the prices of Swedish producers’ total sales, obtained by combining the HMPI and the EXPI.
The Price Index for Domestic Supply (ITPI) measures changes in the prices of products sold in Sweden, obtained by combining the HMPI and the IMPI.
