Restaurant sales decreased in the second quarter
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2019-09-10 9.30
The restaurant sales volume decreased by 0.4 percent in the second quarter compared with the same period a year ago. Personnel restaurants saw the largest decrease in sales volume, -13.7 percent.
Traffic restaurants recorded the second largest decrease, -7.0 percent from the second quarter 2018. Entertainment restaurants had the strongest growth in sales volume, 16.3 percent.
Despite the decrease in sales volume, turnover in current prices generated by restaurants increased by 2.7 percent in the second quarter from the same quarter the previous year.
