Open data for agency and municipal offices
Harmonised data that follows the INSPIRE Directive can be downloaded from the Geodata Portal. There are additional formats here with simpler sets of variables in the national reference system SWEREF99TM.
Statistics Sweden’s General Business Register contains information on companies, agencies and organisations, with addresses of local units. The information in the register is the one the businesses report themselves. Therefore, the information may vary between businesses.
The register does not specifically classify agency and municipal offices. To retrieve them, the following legal forms are used: 81 (Government agencies), (82 (Municipalities), 83 (Municipal associations), 84 (Regions), 85 (Social insurance offices) and 89 (Regional government agencies).
It is not possible to assign coordinates to all addresses for businesses, creating an attrition compared to the information in Statistics Sweden’s General Business Register. The attrition is due to that not all reported addresses in the register can be matched against Lantmäteriets locational addresses.
Geocoded agency and municipal offices are updates once a year and is based on the annual register which is completed in December.
