A correction has been made on the 17th of January 2023. The correction refers to an increase in Swedish holdings in foreign equity and investment fund shares as well as debt securities regarding the third quarter of 2022.
Corrections have been made in the International Investment Position tables in the Statistical Database, Statistical news and the International Investment Position table under Tables and graphs.

Coordination Balance of Payments and National Accounts
Export and import figures may differ in Statistics Sweden’s various statistical products in the Balance of Payments and the National Accounts. Estimates of foreign trade in services published as part of the Balance of Payments and the National Accounts may differ from the values published in the survey on foreign trade in services.
Work is underway to increase the agreement between the financial parts of the Balance of Payments and the financial accounts.

Swedish holdings in foreign portfolio assets decreased in the first half of 2022. Total holdings amounted to SEK 7 837 billion, which was a decrease of 11 percent compared to the end of 2021. Holdings in foreign shares accounted for the largest percentage decrease, but funds and debt securities did also decrease.
